If you are placing your name in the air-conditioned lottery but will take a non-air conditioned space - you DO NOT need to sign up for a non-air conditioned room at this time. You may do that after this lottery is completed in March. We have plenty of non-air conditioned rooms available and will honor requests for non-air conditioned housing after the air conditioned lottery is done. This will greatly simplify transactions as we won't have to reverse an existing transaction to make the upgrade.
Guests will have three different options for lodging during the graduation weekend. Guests have the option of a three-night stay or two-night stay. Several packages are available for 2 or 3-night stays. We are not able to create shorter reservations. Each room reservation is for either single or double occupancy and includes 2 meal tickets for the included meals below.

Due to the high demand and limited supply of air-conditioned spaces for commencement housing, we use a lottery system to most fairly distribute these rooms. All individuals who apply for an air-conditioned space will be placed in a random-draw lottery. It doesn't matter when you sign up for the lottery as long as it is within the entry period. The date you sign up does not signify in the lottery results. Wether you have reserved a non-air conditioned space does not factor into the lottery results. We do not use additional factors to weight the lottery results.
Once the entry period has ended, we will draw lottery entries until the available space is filled and notify everyone in the lottery of the results. For those who have already reserved a non-air conditioned space, we will work with you to upgrade your reservation and address the difference in price. For those who have not made a prior reservation, we will ask you to then complete your reservation and make payment at that time.
If you are unsuccessful in the air-conditioned lottery, you will receive a notice and you may make reservations for non-air conditioned space if you would like to do so. There is time to make reservations in our non-air conditioned space once the lottery ends in March as we typically continue accepting non-air conditioned reservations until late April.
Guests should be aware that all residence halls used for commencement housing have elevators. In buildings where the bathroom is located on the hallway (traditional, non-air conditioned buildings), note that bathrooms are designated by gender. While we attempt to have a male and female bathroom on each floor, the closest bathroom may be on the floor above or below the assigned space.
If you or your guests have a special medical condition or disability and desire assistive devices or other accommodations, please enclose a brief description of your needs with your registration. A limited number of wheelchair-accessible rooms are available.
In the lottery for air-conditioned space, disability requests are not considered as part of the selection process.
For reservation groups with guests with mobility concerns, we attempt to locate assignments on lower floors or closer to restrooms as space permits; however, we cannot guarantee a space on the lowest floors or in immediate proximity to the bathroom(s). Please indicate this need on the reservation form.
