Our Guiding Principles

  • Stewardship

We embody stewardship through caring for our communities, making data-informed decisions, centering equitable treatment, and through transparent and responsive processes. To ensure that we are good stewards, we actively maintain our residential facilities and communities and set them up for future success.

  • Creativity and Innovation

We continue to improve our practices through creative and innovative problem-solving. We use past experiences to guide our processes towards greater efficiency and efficacy. By collecting and analyzing data, we highlight areas of success while finding opportunities for continued growth and creative solutions.

  • Service

In the spirit of Ut Prosim (That I May Serve), we serve many facets of the campus experience. We serve as liaisons between multiple campus partners, and we are a hub of information for students living both on and off campus. We serve students by ensuring that they have access to the resources and information they need to have a fulfilling residential experience.

  • Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

We create and sustain environments where individuals of all identities are recognized, welcomed, and affirmed. We embrace the Principles of Community which value inclusiveness and diversity, understanding that every individual should be treated with dignity, courtesy, and kindness.
