Residential College at West Ambler Johnston ASLC
Rudi Motshubi serves as Assistant Student Life Coordinator for the Residential College at West Ambler Johnston. Before coming to Virginia Tech, he was a lecturer at Khon Kaen University in Thailand. In his role at Virginia Tech, Rudi has the amazing opportunity on a weekly basis to engage in challenging but meaningful academic and social conversations with faculty and students in the West Ambler Johnston community.
Rudi attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, where he earned a B.A. in Mathematical-Economics. He is currently pursuing an M.A. in Higher Education at Virginia Tech and said he is loving every moment!
Rudi’s interests include listening to all types of music, playing sports, and intellectually challenging students and colleagues on what a collegiate experience should or can be.
His favorite Aspiration is Commit to Unwavering Curiosity because an integral part of being in university is to question everything. Virginia Tech embraces this idea and Aspiration by asking that students not accept the status quo, but be curious and ask questions.
