Keely Teters serves as the Assistant Director of Residence Life. In her role, Keely supports the Coordinators in her area to make the residential experience a meaningful and impactful time for all students that live on campus. Keely believes that the residential experience is a formative time for students development that plays a vital role in connecting students together, to the institution and to the greater community.
Keely earned both her bachelor’s degree in Social Work and master’s degree in Education, Counseling from Texas Christian University. Previously she served as a Hall Director at TCU working with first year students. She is excited to be able to continue her work in residence life and be able to help students develop holistically outside of the classroom in an effort to help them be active and positive citizens when they leave their time at college.
Outside of work, Keely enjoys sewing, participating in outdoor activities, hanging out with her dog Blu and catching up with her friends and family. You can often find Keely with a tea in her hand and excitement to be able to impact students through her work.
Keely’s favorite Aspiration for Student Learning is the commitment to unwavering curiosity because she believes that a curious mind allows us to explore the world and aim for higher ambitions. By walking into each space we enter with a sense of learning and engaging in new we can not only allow ourselves to grow and explore, but also those around us to do the same.
