Chelsea serves as Associate Director of Housing Services at Virginia Tech. In this role, she manages more than 9,700 on-campus residents in 47 residence halls, as well as contracts for off-campus dining plan holders. She supervises the assistant director for recruitment and training, assistant director for housing services, assignment coordinators, and front desk student staff. Chelsea earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master of science in counselor education: mental health counseling, both from Longwood University. Prior to joining Virginia Tech, she served as a residence life coordinator for Housing and Residence Life at Bellarmine University.
Chelsea’s favorite Aspirations for Student Learning are Curiosity and Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). She is passionate about serving students to empower them to achieve their goals and aspirations, and she believes curiosity encourages growth and development from life experiences, allowing us to learn from others and provide individuals the opportunity to flourish.
Spending time with her family, friends, and animals are a few of Chelsea’s favorite things. She loves to travel, explore the outdoors, and try new food.
