Lee Hall RLC
Taylor is one of the Residential Learning Coordinators in Lee Hall, where he works with the Curie, DaVinci, Hypatia, and Galileo living-learning communities. This is his first year at Virginia Tech. Prior to working here, he attended the University of Virginia, where he received his B.A. in Global Development Studies and his M.Ed. in Higher Education, concentrating in Student Affairs Practice. He served as a Resident Advisor his last year as an undergraduate. His favorite parts of the role and his inspiration for pursuing this field were the relationships he co-built, the conversations he was able to have with those around him, and the multitude of learning opportunities that presented themselves daily. He is excited for that to continue in his present role.
While he doesn't have a specific favorite Aspiration for Student Learning, he thinks that they all have many intersections with our daily lives. Tying into his Strengths, he enjoys conversations because it gives those involved a chance to create and share knowledge with one another. He sees the Aspirations manifesting themselves in those situations and Ut Prosim as one of the ways to operationalize the conversation. He said, “Feel free to stop by my office anytime – I am always up for a conversation!”
In his free time, he enjoys landscape photography, running, and he wants to get back into writing poetry.
