Scott Steehler

Slusher Hall RLC

Scott serves as Residential Learning Coordinator for Slusher Hall. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel Administration from Marquette University. Prior to joining Housing and Residence Life, Scott worked at Indiana University-Bloomington in the Division of Residential Programs and Services. 

Scott is passionate about providing developmental experiences to students, understanding the student experience, and mentoring student staff members. When working with students, Scott’s favorite Aspiration for Student Learning is Self-Understanding and Integrity. Scott said, “This Aspiration is a key part of being a Hokie as students adapt to being away from home for the first time.”

In his free time, Scott is a referee at soccer games, and enjoys working out and playing with Tucker, his Corgi puppy.
