Linzy Martinelli

LeeHall/Johnson Hall/O'Shaughnessy Hall RLC

Linzy grew up in a small town in Connecticut with two older siblings. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education with a science concentration from North Carolina State University and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from The Pennsylvania State University. This is her fourth year working at Virginia Tech and third year in Lee Hall working with the inVenTs Community and she said, “I absolutely love it here!”

Linzy enjoys playing and watching sports, hiking, spending time with family and friends, and meeting new people.

As a Residential Learning Coordinator (RLC), Linzy supervises the 20 Lee Hall Resident Advisors (RAs), builds relationships, advises hall council, responds to community needs and crises, and oversees programs and services designed to enhance the educational experience and quality of student life in the residence halls. The RLCs in Lee serve as a liaison between the inVenTs community and Housing and Residence Life and work to create an educational community guided by the Aspirations for Student Learning.

Linzy’s two favorite Aspirations are Curiosity and Ut Prosim because she loves to try new things, meet new people, and invite difference experiences. She also loves being able to serve students by helping them reach their potential and define who they want to be.
